Easter Egg Inspiration!

I love swapping projects and ideas with my crafty pals, especially around holiday time! Easter is nearly here and the super-creative (and very funny!) Jeanne Benedict shared with me her latest crop of oh-so-fab Easter egg designs. These black-and-white scroll work eggs are my fave, but be sure to check out ALL of her ideas over on Jeanne's website!

How about you? Do you have Easter egg decorating on the brain? What are your ideas this year?

Easter Flowers...

Hello! I have been away too long from my lovely little blog. Between prepping for and celebrating Easter (I didn't get to make the napkins I was hoping to, sadly)...and then I dived right into my long to-do list this week and well, I have not had a chance to post...until today!

I wanted to share a photo of the gorgeous flowers from our Easter dinner table. This is a quick shot I took of my table's centerpiece...a gorgeous mixed bouquet from Trader Joe's (yes...they have flowers!)

I placed them in my beloved Kate Spade Library Stripe vase and for a fun little extra, I added in that adorable decorative moss-covered bunny pick up top, that I found at Pier 1 Imports...so sweet!

The tasty bunny down in the corner was a handmade dark-chocolate creation from a friend of my husband's...delicious!

That's it for now...just wanted to spread a little post-holiday cheer!

How about you? How was your Easter holiday?

Inspired by Williams-Sonoma

Since it was so rainy this weekend, when I did get out I decided to head to Williams-Sonoma. Easter is coming soon and since that is our big holiday to host, I decided I needed a little inspiration.

When I arrived, I was happy to see how prepared they were for Easter. Not only was the front of the store filled with Easter goodies such marshmallow ducklings, malted chocolate eggs, jelly beans and sour gummy bunnies....

...but the table in the back of the store was beautifully set for a lovely Easter holiday.

How sweet are these little bunny taper candle holders? I think they are my favorite part.

I controlled my tempation to purchase, well everything, since I know I have a lovely closet full of tabletop goodies. However, I did purchase a little jar of Herbs de Provence and picked up their recipe card for an Herbs de Provence Leg of Lamb, using said herbs. I cannot wait to test it out.

How about you? What inspired you this weekend?

Easter Projects

My hubby and I host his family for Easter every year. As I was planning this weekend, I came across these pics from our very first Easter dinner, back in 2006.

The centerpiece on the left was super-simple and so much cuter in person (sorry about the dark photos!). I started with a vase of wheat grass. I made the paper "eggs" using an extra-large oval-shaped punch. Then, I glued them onto lollipop sticks and inserted them into the wheat grass. So easy! The bunny decoration was a last-minute addition. A bit cutesy but at the time, I was working at Parents Magazine so kid-friendly crafts were always on my brain!

For the wineglass tag/placecard on the right...I used leftover business-cards from Paper-Source. I wrote each guest's name and added a cute little sticker. To finish, I punched a hole in the corner, thread a piece of ribbon through and tied it to the glass. Easy, right?

This year I'm planning a spring theme using lots of hot pink. How will you decorate for Easter?
